SPRING CLEANSING with REBECCA

Spring detoxing is natural and your body does it whether your organs are prepared or not. I’ll help you check in with your micro-biome status, and phase 1 & phase 2 liver health, and your gall bladder and kidney function, before your body get’s to challenged with the natural instinct to release stored metabolic or environmental toxins.

This interconnected systems check-up, is important to tune up organs in preparation of the season’s natural processes. In winter our metabolism slows down and we naturally burn up our stored food reserves in fat, while also releasing the dsyfunctioning, tired cells are body naturally lets die (autophagy). in our more rested state (presumably fasting while we sleep more during these longer, darker winter days). This break down of fat speeds up in spring, as the body naturally goes into “cleansing mode” releasing the dead cells and flushing out the stores of metabolic waste or environmental toxins stored in our fat as a mode of protecting our vital organs from their anti-nutrient stuctures, or excessiveness, since the liver can only deal with so many by products like fructose (excessive refined carbs/industrial processed foods) and zeno-estrogens (bisphenyl A, sodium lauryl sulfate, herbicides, pesticides) or heavy metals (aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, nickel) .

Our GI tract also, naturally wants to get “unstuck”, releasing the the gluey, sticky protein molecules from a winter diet of gluten-heavy processed grass grains, like wheat pastas, breads, crackers and cookies, and corn chips, tortillas and sweet dairy with it’s sticky casein A1 protein molecules as found in industrial dairy especially in sweetened, low fat yogurts, ice cream, milks and cheeses. Cleansing this gluten and casein “gunk” off your mucosal epithelial walls, (be they sinus linings or intestines) will free up constipated, sluggish bowels and help clear skin and sinus cavity issues as the body struggles to find alternative roots to release irritants from the body. The world we live in challenges are detoxification organs whether we strive to live a “clean” life or not.

Moreover, NOT all cleanses are beneficial for every body/blood type- I can help you navigate the choices. Together we’ll check in with your body’s three major systems: your endocrine/hormonal system; your nervous system/sympathetic & para sympathetic responses & your immune system, which is pretty dependent on the perceived and actual stressors your body takes in or has to process.

Your body’s ability to naturally cleanse, on a daily, seasonal and acute toxicity basis is key to how these three systems interact, so you can keep healthy muscle mass, and stay nourished, functioning with minimal hormonal (“hangry”) blood sugar swings, excessive body aches, fatigue or detox headaches. Dry body brushing, hydrotherapy (cold water), saunas and epsom salt and essential oil baths are a part of this regime.

My Detox hOMe & Body Cleanse includes a suggested daily regime of Intermittent Fasting (IF) with food and beverage lists, simple recipes, botanicals and nutritional supplements as needed. Plus movement and meditations to help you cleanse your spirit (if wounded/overwhelmed), thoughts (of self doubt/fear) and actions (if self harming/lethargic).

We’ll cover any attitudinal, movement, or general life obstacles that flare up and I’ll offer accountability along with suggested practical ways to get you through the challenges of cleansing or of life in general (coronavirus scare or not).
